The Market Series

When I was a little girl, our family would go together to the Saturday market every single week. Everything you could possibly want was there, and each stall plied a particular trade - cheese man, meat man, veggies from the husband and wife team running the veggie stall. There was such a different feel to shopping back then that I find missing these days - that family oriented adventure, the social engagement of seeing the same sellers every week. Talking and learning from experts in their trade. Those weekend mornings became a cornerstone of my childhood, something I didn't know I cherished so much until they were gone.

Capturing the essence of each seller in The Market Series, each piece represents a different stall, seller, and unique piece of advice or phrase from them to you. Meant to feel like a friendly, familiar conversation with a well-known friend across his wares, every time you see each piece I want it to feel like you're there at the market stall.
