packing for a normal holiday is bad enough, but packing to move out of the country for a year is a whole different ball game... what makes it more difficult is the airline cutting down on baggage allowance to 'save the planet' which in my bullshit to english dictionary means so that they can squeeze more money out of you when you go over. £15 per extra kilo! robbing swines. so i've got to cram a years worth of stuff into a weekend bag, and bid farewell to some highly desired hair products and crafting supplies.
i've gone through pretty much everything i own, including a few forgotten art folders in the loft. while i should have actually been looking for the right sized suitcase, i stumbled upon a few forgotten relics, including some cards and photos from uni that were stashed away when we moved house in May. although moving away from home will be difficult, moving closer to ricky and doug in vancouver will make it all the more worth while. the three of us haven't really spent any decent time together since we left our house in Colchester Street at the end of third year. looking back on all my stuff from that time made me really miss living with those guys, and now im even more excited to get across the pond and start having a good time!
