Add Comment someone very lucky is going to get this home-made clay solar system in their stocking this christmas from a certain secret santa.... the planets are all made from clay and are suspended from driftwood by natural hemp. each planet is labelled and they're all in the right order. i only just heard of a way to remember the order of the planets, my boyfriend is disgusted at my poor primary school education. i had no idea! apparently the best way is this - "My Very Easy Method Just Set Up Nine Planets" although now it's a little inaccurate, so it would have to be "My Very Easy Method Just Set Up Neptune"... but you get the same result. the colours may not be entirely accurate, but i think the turquoise scheme works well. earth has some pretty impressive detail, but i think my favourite has to be saturn. the ring around it is adorable... hope everyone is enjoying the festive season, love and good will to all. merry christmas x it's going to be mighty chilly up the mountain over the next couple of days, so while my friends and I spent some time skiing up there, we best do all we can to keep warm... I made each of them a little christmas drink, hot chocolate and real chocolate chips topped off with a marshmallow, each in their own little jars. pretty cute if you ask me, convenient too as all you have to do is dump it in your cup and add hot milk. perfect! merry christmas everyone, stay warm.... I made this awesome present for my friend lauren, I think she's gona love it. she loves sugar skulls and day of the dead art, and religious iconogrophy. when i saw this statue at the thrift store I was going to give it to her how it came, because it was pretty cool to begin with. but then I got really excited about the idea of decoratng him in that style. it took a while and there are a few smudges here and there, but I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. she just got word that she's moving into a pretty sweet new apartment in the new year, so this will sit pretty on her new furniture. although it took a long time this project was pretty fun. I might go and find some more cool statues, turn them into seth macbeth illustrations... seth macbeth: creative will be at the Blim Christmas market on December 18th, 12 - 5pm at the Chinese Cultral Centre in downtown Vancouver. if you can make it come along and get some last minute christmas goodies...tell your friends! specially commissioned christmas cards for my friend jess, she is getting a new pug puppy next week and is a tad obsessed with the little fluffers. hope she likes these, i think they turned out pretty adorable. these designs are part of a pack of 12, four of each design. |
